Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are the global goals from 2016 to 2030, which were stated in the “2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development” and adopted at the United Nation Summit in September 2015. The SDGs are evolved from the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) that were formulated in 2001. They consist of 17 goals and 169 targets aimed at achieving a sustainable world, and promise to “leave no one behind.” SDGs are universal initiatives taken not only by developing countries but also by developed countries, and Japan is also proactively working to achieve these goals.

The potential materiality is mapped using “level of contribution to social issues” and “materiality related to the company’s business” as coordinate axes to narrow down to items with high priority, based on the candidate key issues identified.
After organizing the narrowed down materiality, vision, and scope of impact, five material issues have been identified.
